Easy Mac OS X

Book author

The easy-to-follow, graphic nature of this series was a perfect match with Apple’s new Mac OS X—brightly colored, intuitive, and full of fun surprises. In developing the table of contents for this title, I first determined the most common tasks that a new user of Mac OS X would want to perform, then I grouped them into categories. For each task, I wrote the introductory text and the steps, took the screenshots, and composed the tips, notes, and warnings. Once the book’s content was complete, I created page layouts for Que’s production staff to work from in fitting each task into its assigned number of pages. This title was quite popular with novice users and was revised with each major upgrade to Mac OS X Mavericks (10.9).
